Description of Services:

Get out of pain. Stay out of pain! With neurology-based bodywork.
Manual neurotherapy at Eastside Bodywork is a little different from other modalities you might have experienced in the past. Using cutting edge techniques such as P-DTR ® (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex method), NeuroKinetic Therapy® and other modalities I am looking for the WHY behind a dysfunction. My goal is to find the source of the problem, not just treat your symptoms. While most other bodywork modalities focus on muscles, fascia, tendons, or ligaments which can be considered the ‘hardware’ of the body, I investigate how well of a job your brain and nervous system are actually doing at coordinating everything (= the ‘software’).

To achieve a functional, healthy body your brain relies on correct sensory information from nerve endings all over the body. If for any reason that sensory feedback gets distorted, the brain reacts with dysfunction (musculoskeletal pain, limited range of motion, gastrointestinal presentations, functional hormonal disturbances, and even emotional or mental complaints such as brain fog or coordination problems). An old injury, trauma, or surgery can leave neurological dysfunction behind long after the actual tissues have healed!

Figuring out your body’s compensation patterns and correcting faulty communication pathways will normalize the output right away: pain is reduced and range of motion is restored. The effects are immediate and long-lasting, and are achieved without use of drugs or invasive procedures.

Give manual neurotherapy a try if you want to: • Reduce or end acute pain in as little as a single session • Treat the problem rather than the symptoms • Optimize athletic performance • Increase range of motion, strength, and stamina • Maximize balance and stability throughout the body • Resolve problems you thought you’d ‘just have to live with’.

A little bit about myself and my professional focus:

I found my passion in making people feel great and in having a positive impact on their lives. I have worked hard to become an expert therapist for complex conditions on the Seattle Eastside. My mission is to make my clients feel amazing, offer them pain relief, help to reduce their stress levels, and allow them to function and move better. Anything that helps them to get back to doing what they love doing the most.

Apart from the certifications I hold and methods I practice (you can read more about those below), I would describe myself as curious, enthusiastic, thorough, positive, and a total anatomy geek. I LOVE to learn and I spend a lot of time on continuing education!

My main interest lies in cutting edge neurology-based bodywork modalities. There is a lot about the body that we don't fully understand yet, but one thing we know for sure: the human body is absolutely amazing and the brain and nervous system are the key to many pain dysfunctions and other functional conditions.

Feel free to contact me anytime with any question you might have. I look forward to meeting YOU one day!
