Description of Services:
Reset, restore, and rebuild your health with results-oriented, neurology-based bodywork and Mindset Coaching
What is manual neurotherapy? I am a licensed massage therapist by training. Yet, what I do today couldn’t be further from a traditional massage session. Soon after opening my first practice I realized that, although each client felt great right after their massage, they would always return to their next appointment with the exact same issues – the same tight neck, the same low back pain, the same tight hamstrings… I was wondering how to get faster and longer lasting results for my clients, not just maintenance. What if I looked more at the body’s ‘software’ than its ‘hardware’? I was intrigued by that concept and that’s where my journey down the neuro-rabbit hole started…
I began extensive studies of NeuroKinetic Therapy®, a corrective movement system that addresses and resolves the cause of pain – imbalances and dysfunctional movement patterns stored in the brain. It truly was the missing link in my treatment protocol and forever changed the way I practice. Today, I am a certified Master Level NKT practitioner as well as a student mentor in the Greater Seattle area. In the spring of 2017 I started my training in Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex®, or P-DTR for short. Sometimes referred to as ‘human software engineering’ I believe that this method is currently the world’s most powerful manual therapy technique. It goes way beyond the treatment of neuromuscular conditions. Put simply, P-DTR is the practical application of functional neurology. It works with all kinds of functional problems your body might have, meaning that treatment will beneficially affect the body’s nervous system in general, as well as the digestive, musculoskeletal, circulatory and lymphatic systems. I am proud to have been the first certified P-DTR practitioner within Washington State and beyond excited to bring this powerful treatment technique to you.
What is mindset coaching? The latest addition to my toolbox is a bit different in nature: PSYCH-K ® is a simple, yet immensely effective set of change processes which address beliefs we hold in our subconscious mind. These beliefs, worries or nagging thoughts are often negative and self-limiting – they can hold us back from what we truly want out of life. Mindset coaching can hugely support your manual therapy treatment but it is facilitated within separate sessions which can be in person, online or by phone. You can find out more about this method on Eastside Bodywork’s sister website The combination of advanced techniques at Eastside Bodywork creates a bodywork experience unlike any other you’ve experienced before. I invite you to spend some time reading through the various pages here. Then make a call or email me to see what I can do for you. I look forward to meeting YOU.
